Good to see you!
I am Eric Vogel (artist name ErVo) and I am a freelance virtual composer and songwriter from Holland.
I live in Milton Keynes, England where I dedicate as much of my time on composing and arranging music as well as helping fellow composers with their music challenges.
My own music style is a blend of classical and ambient with lush cello, piano, orchestral strings, woodwinds and brass. I do however like to add an instrumental twist to keep the arrangement fresh and modern.
My latest album “Vortex Pinnacle” is available now, why not have a listen at the bottom of this page?
Alternatively, below a track I have recently written for a publisher looking for an orchestral style American election TV composition.
You can also listen to some other tracks I have written for various TV and visual projects in the Music Section.
Enjoy and reach out if you have any feedback or if you are interested in a project or collaborating.
New Album - Vortex Pinnacle
Embark on a sonic journey as my latest album – Vortex Pinnacle has just been released This album is a celebration of musical artistry, a mix of ambient instrumentals to take you on a sonic journey. As a special treat, there are two mesmerising bonus tracks featuring the extraordinary vocals of Grace J, a talented singer from Lincoln. Experience the magic, emotion, and beauty that unfolds within every track. And all profits will be donated to the RSPCA so why not buy that track you really like (£0.79) or buy the album (£8.99) as you will also support a great charity. Happy listening and thank you for your support.
“My music is a mixture of ambient and classic, I write wherever the mood takes me.”
My influences are diverse and I grew up listening to Pink Floyd, Duran Duran, David Bowie, Billy Joel and dare I say Abba (my mum is a huge fan). Pretty much all my family members played an instrument, but I was mostly influenced by my grandfather. He was a professional musician, toured all over the Benelux with “The Lucky Stars”, released some singles and regularly appeared on TV. He convinced me to take up the organ and get classically trained. This developed my interest in classical music and a lot of my current classical inspiration comes from Ludovico Einaudi. My tracks can be described as moody, emotional and somewhat dark.
“Music can name the unnameable and communicate the unknowable.”

The Lockdown Album
This album was 50 years in the making. During the 2021 pandemic lockdown, I got my act together and invested time (and money) in my home studio. I wrote 10 ambient classical pieces on my new IMAC and used Apple’s Logic Pro X as a DAW (Digital Audio Workstation). I blended various virtual instruments from Spitfire Audio, Native Instruments, Sonuscore & Vienna Symphony Orchestra to name but a few. The tracks vary from somber to uplifting and in essence follow the mood during the pandemic lockdown.
Second Album released!
I am very proud to have been able to release my second album. The first album is always the big learning curve and lockdown allowed for ample time to experiment and brush up on techniques. Life’s a movie features lush cello’s, a Steinway D-274 Hamburg Piano and rich orchestral strings. The instrumental tracks will have a darker and moodier theme compared to the first album. Have a listen and I hope you enjoy it. Feedback is always appreciated, so get in touch!
